The Hitz Foundation is a private non-operating family foundation supporting numerous projects in science, the arts, and the environment throughout the world. We are not currently able to accept unsolicited grant requests.
Digital Preservation and LiDAR Mapping
We support Global Digital Heritage which captures state-of-the-art 3D models of heritage sites and museum collections and shares them with the world at no cost. We also support LiDAR mapping in Guatemala.
We support Play On Shakespeare which has commissioned 36 playwrights to translate 39 Shakespeare plays into contemporary English intended for performance.
Environment and Sustainability
We support the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust protecting the ecosystems and biodiversity of East Africa through conservation efforts that directly benefit wildlife, wilderness and the local Maasai communities.
We support Deep Springs College and funded the legal fight that lead to their successful transition to coeducation.
We support several Mayan archaeology projects working in the Peten region of northern Guatemala.
We support numerous other projects in a variety of fields including Good Government (The Carter Center, Human Rights Watch, and the ACLU) and Health & Human Services (Doctors without Borders)
